I've always been eager to learn from anyone and at every opportunity that comes my way. I met Andy Carlsen through TradeGuider; he was hosting their daily on-line trading session for visitors and TradeGuider users. About a year later, he decided to set up his own trading room and teach (and sell) several tools he had developed on his own prior to accepting the request from TradeGuider to host their room. Andy is a superb trader and mentor. In late 2005, the man who had mentored Andy made a guest appearance in Andy's room, a gentleman named Jerry Simmons. Andy had taken Jerry's Advanced Trading Workshop back in 1998 and the two have maintained a close friendship ever since. They decided to form a 2-man mentorship team, which became operational in early 2006.

Andy readily says that Jerry has forgotten more about trading then he (Andy) will probably ever know. Jerry is, indeed, the most detailed market statistician I've ever met. He had a professional background in computer programming, working for Texas Instruments, before he ever started trading. With access to TI's big mainframe computer, he worked well into the night (after hours) analyzing stock market details and configuring what turned out to be superb market indicators before anyone else had even thought of using computers for something like this. Though his charts appear at first glance, very daunting, he breaks them down to basics in their training sessions, to where (after a few reviews) one begins to see signals the market is giving in a focused manner that soon builds one's confidence to a very high level. These guys live, eat, and breathe the stock market from 45 minutes before the market opens until after the market closes. The camaraderie of their rooms makes the whole day seem to be over "all to soon". These guys will teach you how to trade!
